Racers drop Wolverines 1-0

RIVERVIEW, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's soccer team fell to the University of Northwestern Ohio 1-0 in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup Thursday in Riverview, Mich.

The undefeated Racers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, scoring 90 seconds in, and that was all UNOH needed as their defense prevented UM-Dearborn from getting anything going offensively.

UNOH controlled the possession for most of the game, however the stellar play in goal by Austin Dukes kept the Wolverines within reach. The Racers fired a barrage of shots toward the UM-Dearborn keeper, as he made 11 saves on the night. The loss drops the Wolverines to 1-3-0 overall and 1-3-0 in the WHAC.

UNOH held the edge in shots 20-4, and corners, 8-1.

The Wolverines return to action against Concordia University at 3pm Saturday at Gabriel Richard High School in Riverview, Mich.
