Recap: WHAC Championships Day One

AUGUSTA, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's golf team sits in ninth out of 12 teams at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championships on Tuesday (Apr. 22). The tournament was played at the challenging Stonehedge North Golf Course in a 54-hole format. The Wolverines will bounce back tomorrow to play the final 18 holes. 

Kristen Guobis and Megan Rogers posted identical scores in their two rounds to finish in a tie for 19th. The two shot a pair of 88s in their opening round. Both would come back and shoot eight strokes better in their second round to finish in a tie for 19th. Cadence Pero was next for the Wolverines, finishing in a tie for 41st as she tallied a 92 and a 95. Andi Evers and Kaitlyn Creps rounded out the Wolverine competitors as they finished 44th and 46th.
