No. 11 Warriors top Wolverines on Senior Night

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team fell to No. 11 Indiana Tech in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest on Senior Night in the regular-season home finale Wednesday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.

The Wolverines honored seniors Laekyn Jaciuk and Sade Lemons in a pregame Senior Night ceremony.

Indiana Tech jumped out to an early double-digit lead as the Wolverine offense struggled to get going. UM-Dearborn rallied early in the fourth quarter, but Indiana Tech held on to take a 68-51 win.

The loss snaps a four-game win streak and drops UM-Dearborn to 17-12 overall and 10-9 in the WHAC.

Lemons had a strong night on offense for the Wolverines, finishing with 16 points and three 3-pointers. Ro'Zhane Wells scored 16 points, narrowly missing a double-double with eight rebounds. Rachel Bause led UM-Dearborn on the glass with 11 rebounds.

The Wolverines shot 15-of-57 from the field, 3-of-17 from deep and 18-of-27 at the line.

Erika Foy led the Warriors with 27 points and six rebounds. The win secured the outright regular-season WHAC championship for Indiana Tech.

UM-Dearborn closes the regular season against Madonna University at 1 pm Saturday in Livonia, Mich.
