Wolverines compete in two events over the weekend

NEW BOSTON, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's cross country team was back in action this weekend hosting the Wolverine Invitational and competing in the Lawrence Tech Invitational, Friday and Saturday respectively at Willow Metropark in New Boston, Mich. 

Friday's race saw the Wolverine men go head-to-head with Aquinas College in an 8k race. The Saints edged out UM-Dearborn, earning the first place finish in the event.

Freshman Brendan Bucker led the way for the Wolverine men with a time of 28:33.0, which landed him an eighth-place finish overall. Jarrett St. John finished in ninth-place with a time of 29:06.7, while Nathan Wilson finished in 10th with a time of 29:29.3 for UM-Dearborn.

On Saturday, the Wolverine men competed in the Lawrence Tech Invitational finishing in 2nd place out of four overall in the 8k race. Freshman Jorden Sowash led UM-Dearborn for the second time this season posting a time of 27:08.7, landing him in fourth place overall. Joshua Williams finished in 9th place with a time of 27:37.8, while Joshua Mussen posted time of 27:41.0, giving him the ninth-place finish.
