Rogers Named All-Tournament Team, Pultorak and Tirador fire 75s at LTU Invitational

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn golf teams both participated in the LTU Invitational at Farmington Hills Golf Club on Friday (Sept. 29). The Wolverines had strong performances from three individuals as the women's team placed fifth out of eight teams while the men finished sixth out of seven teams. Megan Rogers would be named to the All-Tournament team as her final round 81 gave her a top-five finish.

Rogers, a freshman from Riverview, Mich., recorded her second top-10 finish and her first finish inside the top five during her young career in the Maize & Blue. Rogers finished nine strokes better than her Wolverine counterparts in an impressive afternoon.

Danielle Gonser ranked second amongst Wolverine golfers who finished with a total of 355; Gonser shot a 90, while Zeinab Saad and Ava Moore both shot 92s for the Wolverines. Andi Evers rounded out the scoring for the Wolverines, shooting a 95.

Playing without their top competitor, the men's team had a very nice afternoon. Brandon Tirador and Brenden Pultorak shot 75s but were short of the All-Tournament Team in a very low-scoring round of golf. Ali Elhage and Jason Cuppari had very respectable rounds, shooting 81 and 83, respectively. Mohamed Homayed rounded out the scoring for the Wolverines with his final tally of 87.
