Wolverines compete in WHAC Preview event

AUGUSTA, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's golf team competed in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Preview on Monday and Tuesday at Stonehenge Golf Club in Augusta, Mich.

The WHAC preview was the first time the stroke play/match play/match play format was used. The Wolverines would finished in 7th place out of 10 in Round 1 of stroke play competition. In Round 2, UM-Dearborn would take on Lawrence Tech in match play, failing to the Blue Devils, 4-1. In Round 3, the Wolverines would compete in another match play, this time against Siena Heights University. The Saints would take the win over UM-Dearborn, 4-1.

Molly Morey led the Wolverines after Round 1, finding herself in 29th place out of 55 golfers, with a score of 88. Halena Harris and Savanah Gabowski were close behind. Both golfers were tied for 31st place, with a score of 90, while Kadie Hayden would finish with a score of 102, landing her in 50th place. 

The Wolverines return to action at the Lourdes Invitational, hosted by Lourdes University, at 10am at Sylvania GC in Sylvania, Ohio.
