Wolverines Finish Sixth at Lourdes Spring Invitational

OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's golf team traveled to Toledo, Ohio, to participate in the Lourdes' Invitational Tournament on Tuesday (Apr. 4). 13 teams took part in the tournament, including Lawrence Tech, Lourdes, and Madonna, who took the top three spots for the day in that order. 

 

The Wolverines placed 6th overall with a total of 315 strokes, leaving them +27 from the overall par. 

 

Eight different Wolverines played in the tournament, with Nick Metaxas placing the highest for the Wolverines. Metaxas finished tied for sixth overall, shooting a 75 (+3). Brandon Tirador finished tied for sixth, shooting a 75 (+3).

 

Mohmoud Saad finished 34th for the Wolverines, shooting eight over par, and Brenden Pultorak ranked 39th at a total of 81.

 

Next up, Nick Cooper placed 55th, shooting an 84 on the afternoon. Finally, Ryan Gniewek finished at a total of 85, leaving him at +13 over par.

 

Ali Elhage finished 66th for the Wolverines at a total of 87, and Adam Hammoud finished 82nd at a total of 92, with a +20 par.
