Detroit, Mich. - The UM-Dearborn baseball team hosted the Madonna University Crusaders and the Concordia University Cardinals this weekend at Harwell Field on the campus of Wayne State University.  On Sunday, Concordia started the scoring with two runs in the top of the first.  UM-Dearborn would tie the game in the bottom of the second on Nathan Mack's two-run home run.  The Cardinals would break the tie with three runs in the top of the third to take a 6-3 lead.  After the two teams exchanged runs in the sixth inning, Concordia would blow the game open with eight runs in the top of the seventh inning, winning game one 14-4.  Matthew Williams went three-for-three in the loss.  

Game two started out better for the Wolverines.  After Concordia scored in the top of the first, UM-Dearborn would take the lead 3-1 in the bottom of the second highlighted by Drake Schultz's two-run single.  The lead would be short lived as the Cardinals would score two runs each in the third and fourth innings and then put up six more in the top of the sixth in winning game two 13-7.  Four Wolverines had two hits each as the top three in the batting order - Andrew Capone, Mack, and Schultz each had two hits along with Max Tomaszewski.

On Saturday, Madonna's offense proved too much as the Crusaders won game one 11-6 and game two 12-5.  Once again, the top of the lineup was strong for UM-Dearborn as the top-three in the lineup (Max McClennan, Evan Morin, and Capone) each had two hits and scored a combined six runs in game one.  In game two, Morin added two more hits and scored once, but Madonna's offense was clicking with 15 hits as they would win 12-5.  

The baseball team is off until Friday when they play host to Aquinas College at 2:00pm at Fisher Stadium at UM-Ann Arbor's campus.
