Cross Country Sweeps Top Team GPAs
15 out of 16 sponsored athletic teams finished the 2022-23 academic year with a GPA above 3.0.
DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn Department of Athletics & Recreation released its department-wide GPAs on Tuesday (June 20). In the 2022-23 Academic Year, the department finished with a 3.171 GPA. Men's and Women's Cross Country took home top honors as they finished with the top team GPA on the male and female sides. The most notable achievement is 15 out of 16 sponsored sports finished with a GPA above 3.0.
Men's cross country finished the year with a 3.378 team GPA and was the only male sport to finish above a 3.2 on the year. Men's cross country finished with a 3.370 GPA in the winter semester, again finishing as the top male team.
Women's cross country finished with the highest team GPA across the entire department, with a 3.517 in the 2022-23 academic year. Women's golf finished the winter semester with a 3.505 team GPA giving them the highest female GPA. Seven of the eight female teams finished with a team GPA above 3.2, with three teams amassing a GPA above 3.5.
