
RICHMOND, Ind. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team finished play at the First Bank Richmond Classic against No. 20 Indiana University-Southeast Saturday in Richmond, Ind.
The Wolverines led by as many as 25 in the first half, but the Grenadiers rallied and took control, outscoring UM-Dearborn 53-27 in the second half to pull away for an 89-72 win.
The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 1-5 this season.
The Wolverines were led by 21 points on 10-of-15 shooting from sophomore Jason Gigliotti, who added six rebounds. Freshman Zach Lattimer scored 15 points off the bench, including four 3-pointers, while sophomore Mathew Mignault added 12 points. Senior Mafiaion Joyner finished with nine points and a team-high nine rebounds.
The Wolverines shot 30-of-61 from the field, 8-of-24 from deep and 4-of-10 from the line, while recording 20 assists and 19 turnovers.
Jamie Johnson led the IU-Southeast rally with 29 points, while Lukas Burkman added 23 points.
The Wolverines open Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play against Siena Heights University at 8 pm Wednesday in Adrian, Mich.
