Eric Stark is set to begin his 10th season as the head coach of the University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team in 2023. 

Stark, a native of South Windsor, Conn., took the Wolverines to new heights in 2022. The Wolverines won 14 games, including going .500 in Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference play. 

Stark's teaching led to the emergence of Sydney Eggleton and Brooke Wetherill, who both garnered WHAC All-Conference Awards. Eggleton was named All-WHAC First Team after leading the team with 3.5 Pts/set. Wetherill was named All-WHAC Second Team after finishing top-10 in the nation in multiple defensive categories. Wetherill tallied 156 total blocks during the 2022 campaign, while the Wolverines finished fifteenth overall in total blocks. 

The 2016 Wolverines received an All-WHAC Second Team selection for junior Bri Alspaugh, while Raechel Warchock was named to the All-WHAC Academic Team and earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition. The Wolverines were named an NAIA Scholar Team and won an AVCA Academic Award.

Before joining UM-Dearborn, Stark was an assistant volleyball coach at Eastern Michigan University, an NCAA Division I program, from 2010-12 and was the associate head coach at Oberlin College from 2007-10. Other college coaching experience includes serving as a student assistant coach at Bradley University from 2002-07. Stark earned his degree from Bradley in 2007.

At the club level, Stark coached the Spirit Volleyball Club in Lorain, Ohio, from 2008-09 and the Huron Valley Volleyball Club in Saline, Ohio, from 2011-2015. He was also the recruiting coordinator and strength coach for Huron Valley. Stark has a USAV CAP Level 1 Certification (2006) and was named the 2014 WHAC Volleyball Champions of Character Coach of the Year. 

In addition to his role with the volleyball team, Stark is the Assistant AD for Student-Athlete Welfare & Development for the UM-Dearborn athletics department, a position he has held since 2022.
