Wolverines Fall in Three Sets in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team was back on the road, dropping a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest in three sets to Indiana Tech on Friday in Fort Wayne, Ind.

The final set scores were 25-19, 25-16, 25-13 and the loss drops UM-Dearborn to 3-12 overall and 0-6 in the WHAC.  

Offensively, it was senior Erin Parrinello that led the way with six kills followed by freshman Mackenzie Zook with five. Junior Daniella Barile recorded 15 assists for the Wolverines and Senior Libero Caitlyn Carlson added to her season totals with 14 digs. Senior Katherine Nealy led the defense with two solo blocks and two block assists.

The Warriors topped the Wolverines 34-22 in kills and 10-7 in blocks. Jordan Aylward powered Indiana Tech's defense, leading the charge with four solo blocks.

The Wolverines return to action on Saturday as they head out on the road on consecutive nights, taking on the University of Northwestern Ohio in a WHAC matchup at 1 pm Saturday in Lima, Ohio.
