UM-Dearborn drops two on final day at Life

MARIETTA, Ga. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team concluded a busy weekend, falling to Reinhardt University and the University of Coastal Georgia Saturday at the Running Eagle Classic in Marietta, Ga.

The losses drop the Wolverines to 3-6 on the season.

In the first match, UM-Dearborn rallied in the second set to defeat Reinhardt 27-25 before falling in the last two sets. Senior Erin Parrinello and freshman Mackenzie Zook led the way offensively with nine kills each while Gina Giacomini added eight. Daniella Barile recorded 21 assists. 

On the defensive side, senior Libero Caitlyn Carlson pitched in with 24 digs.

Against Coastal Georgia, the Wolverines fell 25-19, 25-19 and 25-14. Junior Bronte Michura had six kills and Barile added seven assists.

The Wolverines open Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on the road against Lawrence Tech at 7 pm Wednesday in Southfield, Mich.
