WOLVERINES TAKE SIX WHAC POSTSEASON HONORS

The Wolverines took home six honors from the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference postseason awards, it was announced by the conference Wednesday.

In her first season with the Wolverines, redshirt freshman goalkeeper Jordan Anheuser (FR/Canton, MI) was a standout in the net for head coach Danielle Dow. Anheuser ranks fourth in the NAIA in saves per game with 12.42 and is ninth in total saves with 149.

Anheuser was named the UM-Dearborn Champions of Character Team representative. She was selected for representing the five core character values of the NAIA, which are respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship. The honor is the first for Anheuser.

The Wolverines had five student-athletes named the WHAC All-Academic Team, including Jessica Bacheldor (SR/Dearborn, MI), Rachel Leonard (SR/Romulus, MI), Guadalupe Rodriguez (JR/Taylor, MI), Jenna Rogers (SO/South Lyon, MI) and Kathleen Rubenson (SR/Livonia, MI). To be named to the WHAC All-Academic Team, an athlete must have achieved junior academic standing, have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have been enrolled at the University for two years, or one year as a transfer.
