PERILLA NETS FIRST GOAL IN LOSS TO CONCORDIA

The Cardinals jumped out to an early lead and won the contest 11-1. The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the WHAC.

The Wolverines got on the board in the 89th minute on a brilliant goal from freshman Jennifer Perilla (FR/Dearborn Heights, MI). She stole the ball 30 yards from the net, took one step and lifted a shot over the Concordia goalkeeper. The goal is the first for Perilla in her young career. 

UM-Dearborn redshirt freshman goalkeeper Jordan Anheuser (FR/Canton, MI) made 12 saves in the loss. Concordia took 38 shots in the contest. 

Samantha Golchuk scored three goals for Concordia, while Julia Palushaj and Jyllian Coggins added two goals each.  

The Wolverines take on the defending NAIA National Champion, No. 3 University of Northwestern Ohio, at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Gabriel Richard High School.
