DEARBORN, Mich. — The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team returned to action Wednesday night, taking on the Lourdes University Gray Wolves in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup.
The Gray Wolves would build a big lead in the first quarter, despite the Wolverines keeping the scoring margin closer in the second and third. However, Lourdes went on to shoot over 60 percent in the fourth, helping to run away from UM-Dearborn, handing the Wolverines the 95-50 defeat.
Leading the way for the Wolverines was Marissa Thomas with 14 points and five rebounds, while Haylie Wilson and Nyla Hood would add eight and six points, respectively.
The Gray Wolves had five players hit double-digits in scoring, led by Emma Pedroza with a game-high 20 points.
UM-Dearborn returns to action against Cornerstone University at 1 pm on Saturday at Mol Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich.
