The NAIA announced its Basketball All-Americans and Michigan-Dearborn junior forward Chelsea Davis was named to the Second Team. Davis, a transfer from Wayne State, averaged 17.9 points per game and 9.7 rebounds per game. This award culminates an outstanding season for the forward/center from Canton, MI.
Davis already had been named to the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) First Team as well as the WHAC All-Defensive Team and the WHAC Newcomer of the Year. Davis helped the Wolves to a 10-19 overall record an improvement of six wins from the 2011-12 season where the team went 4-24. Davis and the rest of women's basketball team will look to improve this past season's record as the team brings back most of its players. The team does lose guards Kelly DeFauw and Sara Perez, but those are the only seniors from the 2012-13 team.
