ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The University of Michigan-Dearborn softball team concluded the home portion of the 2017 schedule with a Senior Day doubleheader against Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foe Lourdes University Friday at Alumni Field in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The Wolverines got a pair of complete games on the mound and strong hitting at the plate en route to a pair of 9-1 victories, pushing the team's win streak to 11 games, all in conference play. UM-Dearborn is now 22-6-1 overall and 11-2-1 in the WHAC. The doubleheader was the final at home for three seniors, Taylor Moceri (SR/Sterling Heights, MI), Kylie Hill (SR/Adrian, MI) and Alexandra Elwell (SR/Kalamazoo, MI).

The seniors got the Wolverines going in the first game, as Hill doubled home the first run of the game in the opening inning, followed by a two-run triple from Moceri in the second. The triple was the seventh of Moceri's career, tying her with former player Val Bertani for the most career triples in program history.

With the Wolverines up 5-1 in the fifth inning, Jordan Ewald (JR/Wixom, MI) doubled home another. UM-Dearborn long-ball leader Kassidy Butler (SO/Parchment, MI) did it again, this time keeping the ball inside the fence for an inside-the-park home run, her eighth of the season. An RBI single from Riley Miller (JR/Birmingham, MI) ended the game at 9-1 in the sixth inning for the Wolverines.

Hill, Ewald and Miller each closed the game with two hits, while Butler scored three runs. The win went to Elwell, who tossed all six innings, allowing one run on three hits, while striking out two. Elwell is now 7-1 on the season.

Game two was dominated on the mound by Gina Verduzco (JR/Portage, MI), who struck out seven batters in five innings, allowing one run on two hits for her 10th win of the season. She added a pair of RBI singles at the plate. The Wolverines jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead in the first, highlighted by a three-run home run from Morgan Larkin (SO/Westland, MI), the first of her career.

Hill and Ewald each knocked in a run in the second, setting up Mollee Nason (FR/Paw Paw, MI) with an RBI single to end the game in the fifth.

The Wolverines continue WHAC play against Concordia University at 1 p.m. Saturday in Ann Arbor, Mich.
