Both teams exchanged opportunities early. But Mike Smith (SO/Southgate, MI) found the go-ahead tally with just over four minutes remaining in the first half. The goal was all UM-Dearborn needed to capture the 1-0 win, pushing the Wolverines to 4-6-0 overall and 1-4-0 in the WHAC.

Smith's third goal of the season came on a feed from freshman Tanner Wallace (FR/Riverview, MI), who sent a long ball over the top of the Saint defense.

Dylon DaSilva (JR/Canton, MI), recorded his first shutout of the season, making nine saves. With the Wolverines up a goal in the second, the Saints poured it on offensively, but DaSilva stopped seven shots in the final 45 minutes.

The Wolverines continue WHAC action against Aquinas College at 7 pm Wednesday at Gabriel Richard High School.
