WOLVERINES FALL IN WHAC OPENER TO MARYGROVE

On an unseasonably warm afternoon, the Wolverines and Mustangs battled to a scoreless first half, but Marygrove found the net three times after the break to take the game 3-0. The loss drops the Wolverines to an even 3-3 overall and 0-1 in the WHAC.

Gbenga Mike Ayanwale scored two goals and Curtis Tiapocket added another for Marygrove (4-3, 1-0 WHAC), which outshot UM-Dearborn 17-7.

Senior Ali Anani (SR/Dearborn Heights, MI) led the Wolverines with three shots on goal, while freshman Tanner Wallace (FR/Riverview, MI) added two. 

Wolverine goalkeeper Dylon DaSilva (JR/Canton, MI) made four saves in the loss, falling to 2-3 on the year. 

UM-Dearborn plays the final of six consecutive road games in a WHAC matchup with Indiana Tech at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Fort Wayne, Ind.
