Soccer Gets Shutout Against Cornerstone

Grand Rapids, MI - The men's soccer team fell to the Cornerstone Golden Eagles Saturday night 2-0. Cornerstone (7-6-1, 5-1-1) stifled the Wolverines offensively only allowing three shots on goal for the game. Michigan-Dearborn (4-8-1, 2-3-1) also limited offensive opportunities allowing just four shots on goal. Cornerstone got on the scoreboard 32 minutes into the game when Diego Bobadilla fired a shot from outside the box that got past junior goalkeeper Erick Beas. With the Wolverines pressing, the Golden Eagles Kevin Nimmo scored at the 84 minute mark giving Cornerstone the 2-0 victory. Beas made two saves in the loss.

The men's soccer team will look to get back into the win column on Wednesday, when they take on the Madonna University Crusaders at 1:00pm at Madonna.
