Spring Arbor, MI - A 3-0 loss to Spring Arbor University wasn't quite the season start that the Wolverines were hoping for. In front of a great home crowd, Spring Arbor showed their offense prowess with sixteen net and three corner kicks. Spring Arbor scored a goal at the 24:00 mark of the first half and added two more in the second to seal the victory. The Wolverines offense was lacking, only managing five shots the entire game.

UM-Dearborn showed some promise with good play from some of their new freshman talent. The game featured the collegiate debut of Denny Szczechowski, Mark Dawson, and Scott Dunford.

The men's soccer team will look for a better result as they travel to Jackson, MI to scrimmage the Jackson College Jets on Monday, August 24th at 12:00pm.
