Wolverines Fall to No. 7 Tennessee Wesleyan

BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (0-2) men's lacrosse team held their own against one of the top teams in the country in No. 7 Tennessee Wesleyan (3-1). Dearborn was tied with seven minutes remaining in the third quarter but ultimately fell 12-6.
UM-Dearborn attacked early as the Wolverines took a 2-0 lead in the first seven minutes. Ryan Savage got the scoring started as he ripped an unassisted goal at the 9:56 mark. A little over a minute later, James Blaize got in on the scoring action as he buried an unassisted goal of his own. Wesleyan would score five unanswered goals before Parker Steindl would take a Joseph Atherall pass and score on the man advantage. UM-Dearborn would trail 5-3 heading into the break.
Brodie Mahmud brought the Wolverines within one as Joseph Atherall found the open man again and added his second of three assists. Wesleyan would make it 6-4 before Mason Loudermilk, and Quest Bigelow would help the Wolverines tie the contest up at six with 7:05 remaining in the third.
Wesleyan would score six unanswered goals to defeat the Wolverines 12-6.
