UM-Dearborn Mourns Tragic Loss of Hockey's McPartlin

DEARBORN, Mich. - The University of Michigan-Dearborn was informed Saturday of the tragic death of Ben McPartlin (FR/Trenton, Mich.), who was a student at UM-Dearborn and a member of the Wolverine men's ice hockey team.

It was discovered Saturday that McPartlin, 25, passed away at his home. The UM-Dearborn athletics family and the university as a whole shares its deepest condolences and sympathy to Ben's family, friends, classmates and teammates.

No other information is available at this time. Requests for comments from students and coaches must be made through the athletics department at this time. Information on any remembrance events for Ben will be released when available.

Below are the funeral arrangements for Ben. A shuttle has been set up to travel those wishing to attend the visitation on Thursday. The shuttle will depart and arrive at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.
