TROY, Mich. – What a start!
University of Michigan freshman bowler Stephan Strzalkowski finished first Saturday (Sept. 18) in the season-opening Warrior Classic at Bowl One-Pinz.
Strzalkowski, from Dearborn Heights Annapolis High, rolled games of 208, 218, 193 and 246. He finished strong with an 865 score, eight pins ahead of second-place finisher Nicholas Slagter of Cornerstone University.
The Wolverines (6,492 total pins) finished eighth in the event won by Bowling Green State (6,977).
UM-Dearborn's next two finishers were Zachary Baum (28th, 734) and Joseph Devita (29th, 729).
