SEVEN WOLVERINES NAMED NAIA SCHOLAR ATHLETE

The first-year UM-Dearborn women's soccer team led all Wolverine programs with three honorees, including seniors Kathleen Rubenson(SR/Livonia, MI) and Rachel Leonard (SR/Romulus, MI), along with junior Jenna Rogers (SO/South Lyon, MI). The men's soccer team had two honorees, seniors Ali Anani (SR/Dearborn Heights, MI), taking home the award for the second time, and Stephen Caruso (SR/Novi, MI).

The cross country program had two representatives, with senior Emily Eccleton (SR/Allen Park, MI) winning on the women's side and senior Sean Nowak (SR/Trenton, MI) for the men. Eccelton is a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
